Default Aqua-Hot Fuel Pump

The Aqua-Hot uses the Webasto diesel burner that uses proprietary gear driven fuel pump. Looks like the photo below. The fuel pump is driven by a gear that goes through the bottom of the pump. The only way to check the pump is with fuel pressure gauge that you install in place of the nozzle. Pump does not require priming since it has both supply and return lines.

Sorry, I don't have that info. The bird (and switch) is now with the new owner enjoying Arizona weather. The switch, however, was simply "one that matched the switches" on the Wanderlodge Panel. I would expect that it will need replacement again after a few years. (I have no way of knowing if it was the original switch or if it had been replaced in the past.)

I had to replace the split headlight switch, too... though I got that through an online auto parts outlet based on a part number obtained on this forum. (As I recall, it's a AC-Delco switch used in some older automobiles.) Even though the 'bird uses a lot of relays to minimize the strain on the dash switches, there is still enough amperage to cause internal sparking with resultant pitting and build up of corrosion on the contacts on any switch that handles multiple relays.

As 'birds age, we should expect to need to replace certain switches and other electrical system components. With my '95, it was about 12 years old when purchased and about 15 years when sold ... That seems like a point at which many of the minor components are at a point where failures become more likely.

Thank you, my plan is to start replacing these bad boys before they go out while on the road.

OH WELL! I said in the first post I did not know if they used the Suntec or Webster pumps. Hope I didn't confuse anybody!!

If anyone has an oil fired appliance in their house, maybe the information will come in handy.
