Hello All!

Wanderlodge-Social (MeWe) is slowly coming together. It may be helpful to think of it as another tool. Some will use it often, some not at all. Like any unfamiliar tool, we need to learn what it's for and how to use it.

Not only does Wanderlodge-Social provide fast easy multi-media sharing of social content, it gives us communication redundancy. This is an important element. Should WOG experience a temporary outage, Wanderlodge-Social will be there to keep communications uninterrupted within the community. This could be particularly helpful in SOS situations. One of the things we often tout about our Birds, is their redundant systems. Now we can tout about our redundant WOG too!

A link to a tutorial by Dean Segovis follows. He is a shop guy and has a folksy way of presenting. We have some apprehension about the first section where he covers why not Facebook in some detail. Personally, I see it as more of a public service announcement (PSA) that all can benefit from, even Facebook fans. Very easy to post photos and communicate. I'm learning and I am real slooooooow .

Its a great format, learning the ropes. A lot like Facebook, but has the benefit of no algorithms telling you what you want to read and see! Also it is a great private messaging feature. And no ADS!!

I am slow too Bryan!
And heres an observation,i hear people say WOG is hard to use and they prefer FB.
I have never been on FB until a week ago and i went to the WOG FB page,after being on forums with Vbullitin formats all these years i find FB very confusing and hard to get around on.
Now i see why FBookers don't like WOG,they have the same problems i have!


MeWe is kinda like FB (to me) and i have not had a lot of time to spend on Mewe so i'm still a little lost,but i'm slowly figuring it out.


Most of you guys will take to it like a duck to water,me?

Hi Mike!

This WOG Forum we're on right now is a form of social media. Without it many of us would have a lot less fun fixing our Birds and doing stuff with them. Met some life-long friends here too.

Wanderlodge-Social is an extension of WOG and provides us with a communications back up and some other cool features too.... think about them as mods. It's just another tool and there if you need it.
