Nice and quiet, no light gets through, either.
What in the world are you doing in there that you "need" such conditions?

Mr. White ?

There is a fan right over the head end of the bed, so yeah. Generators, drunk idiots, trains, rain drops, etc.

Ok, that makes sense. We have nothing in the bedroom, no fan or even a/c vent....both of those are in the kitchen. Wish I had some a/c in the bedroom, but not at the expense of adding a 4th a/c unit to the bird.

I fixed it for now, the roll pin came out that connects the damper arm to the motor drive unit and I cleaned all the electrical connectors and worked the lid switch a few dozen times. I only have exhaust though and not reverse polarity operation, maybe the switch is bad. At least it works for shower purposes! For as expensive as these are they are not particularly high quality... grumble

You can order a whole new fan with this cover already installed, too. It doesn't look like much, but this cover is way quieter and lets nearly zero light through. I got the white one.
WOW, if you stare at the picture it changes between a top view and bottom view! Optical delusion (I know, illusion)
