Default Battery loadouts

I am on the hunt for new batteries, our coach came with about the cheapest batteries you can buy from Walmart. Two 29DC for the coach and five 24MS2 for the house. They have never been good and now I am having trouble cranking the engine without combining with the house batteries. I want to change them all before we are stranded. What is everyone using and/or what should be in there? Brands, voltages, and group sizes would be great. We dry camp also and need capacity to operate. Thanks for your insight.

Larry, those are all flooded cell correct? Have you switched to a Samsung refrigerator. If so how do the t105 perform?

LeRoy,
Yes, they are FLA sorry I did not include that...
I have 1.2KW of solar on the roof mounted flat, so 660AH is plenty as I’m getting more so it’s working for me...
No electric Frig original RM 3070...
I’ve had these batts in the FC and they work very well there also...
If you are thinking getting these batts then I would suggest to go to a golf cart business to buy them, usually cheaper than Han distributors...
If you need any more info just ask...
HTH

Leroy, 4 group 31 agm 105 ah for house, 2 group 31 for engine. All from Sam's. Some have added another house battery on the top shelf. What we have works for us and our Dometic refrigerator.

Three group 31 agm start/engine.
Six group 34 agm house.
First choice would be 6v Trojans like Larry has but those were too tall for our compartment.

Paul your compartment is very different. The sliding tray is cool. What kind of fridge are you using?

Paul how long would you say your refrigerator will operate on batteries? Our rm7030 usually works well, but I’m concerned about the fridge fires. The Samsung came up on the radar as I was reading about what people were going with. Have you had any of the coil freeze up issues with yours?
