In searching for a decent crimper, I found them from very cheap to very expensive. From 30 bucks to over 1000. Since I'm not making cables for a living, just my own and other Bird owners, I didn't need a crazy expensive unit.
I wanted one with the best assortment of dies to handle up to 4/0 cable. In order to obtain that, I went with the 16 ton unit. I has more dies than I'll ever need, but the key was, it went from 6 to 4/0 gauge cable. Perfect for what I need. And didn't break the bank. It does a hexagon crimp and works well. If you need cables made up, see me at Pine Mountain.

After Pine Mountain, I'll be staying at the Moose Lodge in Albany GA for about 2 weeks. Then heading to Florida for the winter.
