Default Ground jump terminal? 88 FC35

Does anyone know what this is supposed to connect to guess it’s time to pull out the schematics.

could be the cable for the + jumper hook up.

there shulc be 2 of thost terminals,and one will be a ground and the other will be 12v hot.

looks like four 6volt batteries, positive cable leads to the positive jump start post.
My guess is it should connect to the positive post that is not visible.

The post above looks like the negative post for jump starting. If you back out the camera there should be another post to the left being the positive. The wire in the pic looks like it goes to the negative jump starting post. if that is the case it should be attached to the battery negative.

Careful lots of energy in those batteries, get a meter and find Positive & Negative, There is clearly a Plus sign designation on the battery in the picture.

Bill I see what you are saying. The positive and negative wires don't appear to have the correct color. Also I cannot determine where the wire on the pos terminal goes. On my FC the jump starting studs were neg on the right and pos on the left. The unconnected wire appears to go to the jump starting stud.
Anyway you look at it, the origin of the loose wire needs to be determined first, you are correct in suggesting determining weather it is pos or neg first.
