Default BHTUBES, custom mandrel bent pipe

Folks,

Roger at www.bhtubes is very interested in expanding his product line. If you have need for a new tube, doesn't matter if you want steel, aluminized steel, aluminum, or stainless, Roger will work with you to reproduce the part. He'll do CAC, intake, coolant, exhaust, and more. He can work with diameters up to 5" OD. He's very keen on getting BlueBird part numbers for the parts that he makes so that others can search on body type (FC, PT, SP, WB, LX, LXI, M380, M450) and part number. Once he has an original in his hands, he digitizes it, and it's then forever available as a reproduction in whatever material you want. He's a great resource, a real nice guy, and his prices are good. NFI

Timely post.
My daughter and her family live very close to his location and I am considering some exhaust work on my PT. Running with Shane has given me the yen to remove the muffler from my bus, but I would like to if possible dial back the decibels to about half way between my coach and Shane's. My idea was to put a muffler inline with some restriction but not as much as stock. Wander if he would consider making up a muffler for me? Seems to me the ideal would be to run down from the exhaust header straight down as you would with a straight pipe but in that run include a smaller muffler. Wouldn't have to be much but I'd like to avoid terrorizing the neighborhood. If that is not doable then perhaps replacing the stock muffler with another in its present position but avoiding the doubled back configuration of stock.

I'll talk to the fellow and see if he's interested.

Anyone have an idea about what to use for a muffler or how to make one?

John,

Here's another Pennsylvania firm: Pittsburgh Power. I had PP build a custom muffler for me. Here's the thread:

Here's an example of BHTUBES' work. I had them build stainless steel '97 thru LXi exhaust pipes?

Folks,

BHTUBES updated their website with CAC and Radiator tubes for the LXi, made of 304 stainless steel.

They also added the Exhaust Pipes, S-Pipe and 45deg-Pipe, for the '97 WB and LXi Series 60 exhaust systems, also made of 304 stainless.

Hello all, I am looking at purchasing a set of BH Tubes for our 97 WB 41. Detroit 60 with lowered engine. Has anyone purchased a set for their 97' WB 41? If so, could you please share the PN's. Is the 98' LXI 43 exhaust the same from the turbo to the muffler as a 97' BW 41'?

Thanks all!

Seth, after reading the above post and then following one of the links
David posted, David Brady confirms the part numbers for the 97 and the LXi models are the same. If David B says it’s true, it’s true. He was meticulous in his notes and with his bus. He went on to say BHTUBES had the part numbers for the pre 97 models as well.

David, after our conversation I had realized that there was a sub-thread also, Thank you for taking the time to take my call and also come back to this thread. I really do appreciate it. I am new to WOG, and am learning the forum. Roger has reached out from BH Tubes and we have verified the correct PN's. I will attach those now also.

Looking for an OEM number for the exhaust pipe out of the top for a M450. I contacted Bhtubes and they are looking for this number or some pictures. Will be taking pics but wondered if anyone had or where I could find....

Thanks..
