I wonder if there is any difference in terms of heat soak between a newer foam mattress verses a traditional inner spring mattress?

Starting on the next project, replacing the carpet and original parquet floor with engineered wood flooring. Today was demo day for the carpet. While it's out, the couch will be reupholstered. Still undecided on what we will cover the hydronic heat covers with.

A little more progress on the floor. Got the old parquet flooring up and started on the entry step. The plywood on the first step was rotten in places so I removed it. Found the metal below had surface rust. Cleaned and wire brushed the metal and gave it a coat of POR15. The step bolts went through the plywood with flat head carriage bolts and were pretty rusty. I decided to use stainless hex bolts under the plywood, I notched the bottom side of the new plywood step to clear the bolt heads. I'll give the POR15 a day or two to dry and start putting it back together.

The couch is at the upholstery shop and we decided on a light grey for the new wood floor.

If the dutchess had a step heater it would melt the plastic steps.
