Default Help Needed in Arkansas - hydraulic fan motor

Hello again all
After many weeks and lots of $, I am still experiencing a leak in what I believe is my rebuilt hydraulic fan motor. I am all but certain it needs to be replaced, so my question is any leads on who and where in the Star City Arkansas area??
I am full timing from SW ontario Canada and have been trying to get the hydronic heat (aquahot) unit re-installed, but after 7 months and countless other "more pressing" issues such as this, I am no closer than when I began,so any guidance on this point would be helpful as well.

Thank you
Sean

Edit: Moved Thread from “How to use the Forum Features” and added "hydraulic fan motor" to Title. J. Wyatt

Sorry, guess I shoulda mentioned.........2003 43 Lxi w/Detroit 60. I know what it needs and how to, but need somewhere and a hand to do. Once I get a new one that is. Or a reputable shop referral works as well

Greetings,
It’s been a while since we had to source parts for a bird. The last time we needed that pump we got it from the factory. Try reading through this article.
https://www.thomasnet.com/articles/t...al%20locations.
We can’t remember the original manufacturer but I believe it’s stamped on the pump Sunford and Doss in the best phonetics I can remember. Try calling fastenal or grainier with the pump manufacturer and number stamped on it. See if they can give you a new substitute. Also check locally where you are. Most large cities have hydraulics rebuilders. They may be able to rebuild it for you. Good luck.

Thanks for the great info everyone. I located and ordered one a couple days ago but connectivity and time constraints have been a problem, (I tried replying earlier but lost connection and all my labourus pecking too).
Not sure where they are located but

Bearson Fluid
Phone # 501-490-0222
Part# 121.25.040.0C
Cost: $453.67

Was told they have been obsolete since 2014.
I recently had mine rebuilt in eastern Canada after severe damage (metal chunks etc.) and it held till recently but this is why I am replacing versus rebuilding again.
That being said I am keeping the old one if it would be helpful to other Bird owners as it may be repairable for all I know as it hasn't been removed yet. So if anyone has an interest in it just drop me line.

Happy Thanksgiving and best wishes All

Thanks for the update. Did that end up being a direct replacement? Just asking as if it was I might pick up one as a spare. Thanks

I am assuming it is Doug but haven't received it yet so can't say for sure. Hopefully my failing short term memory allows me to update once I receive it lol

Post-Wanderlodge evolution of Sauer-Danfoss
  • Danish Company
  • Became just Danfoss about a decade ago
  • Bought Eaton’s hydraulics so that name sometimes pops up in search
  • Kept Sauer name under different subsidiary for awhile - appears dead now
  • Can no longer find reference to Wanderlodge era products on their site
As you have found, there are several sources of NOS, used and rebuilt products. Problem is always matching what they offer with what you need - a model number like SNU3NN is just the product family. There are up to 24 more digits that fully specify pump displacement, port locations/spacing, flange specs, etc. The additional spec I’d be most concerned about matching is displacement because the motor’s output specs are directly related to that number. You can visually match the ports and mounts.

The attached PDF, published by the Danfoss subsidiary that was set up to take the Sauer products, appears to be the last “official” product catalog. It was last updated in 2013. The SNU3NN is a Group 3 unidirectional geared motor - full description and specs start on Page 52.

I realize this level of detail may be overkill, but I’m a techo-wank who’ll go down a rabbit hole in an instant. Maybe this will help one or two of you. Oh, and to further annoy you, the specs are all metric
