This pressure switch has been a pain for a couple of years. Worked great most of the time, but would randomly shut the generator down. Have pressure gage running off another sensor, so knew oil pressure was good. Changed the fan belt and was running the generator at the nest, the switch finally decided to lay down. Looked online for a replacement switch. 77 bucks plus 20 bucks shipping. "For a pressure switch" Get real. Looked around the shop for a alternative for this fix. This is what i came up with. May have 20 bucks in the whole fix. See pictures for part numbers.

Nice work, Bill! Good idea heat shrinking the terminals and thank you for posting the part numbers for those that will find this in the future.

Good timing. I may need this now. I was running the genset all day and then it crapped out. The fan stopped working for some reason (12v auto fan) and it overheated. Waited for everything to cool off and now it will only run with the switch held in the start position. I am thinking that switch may be stuck.

Try a jumper wire on the switch, Mine would run if i held the switch.
