Default Need advise before I break out the JB Weld

The Remco mirrors will not tighten up anymore.
At first, it took all my might to get the set screws free and the bolt on the arm also. All was well.
Well after driving across 3 states they will not stay in a set position. I took a 1/2 ratchet to the base and almost put a cheater on it but the arm is tight. Now the set screws on the ball adjustments are tight but not stripped and they won't stay in place, I even used duct tape to see the roadside view no luck.

Thank goodness I have cameras to see. any help is welcome

Is Remco still rebuilding these if so is there a contact to talk to about getting them to them?

We have a month-long trip planned for December so I really need to figure this out just shy of JB Welding them in place

If its the ball that will not stay tight it may have the old style plastic bushings in the arm.
those have been replaced with alum bushings,Call Ramco engineering and if they can't get you some by the time you need them i can send you a set of used ones.
Try for new ones first, they will have them, just don't know if they are working next week.

Ya know, If absolutely necessary, you could always "borrow" a set from a 89WB.
