Default Drivers Seat position

I’m 6’ tall and looked at 1 PT40 and noticed how tight the seat was against wheel and it was against the sofa. Couldn’t tilt back and couldn’t shoot the *** back either. Is this normal are do you have to adjust the sofa to accommodate the drivers chair or height? It seemed a bit too tight, even with the tilt wheel…..what happens when my stomach grows…….i won’t fit!

Lots of big guys drive PT's.
So Bill is thinking right.

There’s a switch that allows the steering wheel to tilt forward. The bus has to be aired up to operate it. I’m 6’4” and have no issue with this.

After seeing how tight that couch is against the back of the sofa I'm in 100% agreement. New couch and short driver. I'm 6'3" and have never driven a PT but have sat in the seat of a couple and had enough room.

My seat adjusts way back that I think someone 6’4” could easily fit. So yes, must’ve something up with the couch.

everything is big on a PT, even many of the drivers are well over 6 foot and 6’6” some add a hefty personal weight to the axles with never an issue.

Default steering wheel

I replaced the stock steering wheel with a current smaller size model that really improved the space & looks on my old '85 PT 40 coach that we had... More real-estate-- Just saying, if that helps with this coach you are viewing at this time...

I’m 6’5” and fatter than I’d like. I fit just fine behind the wheel of my PT36.

I'm 6'8", and did some mods to our 91 WB. Unbolted end of couch, and made brackets so it could slide off. Then moved seat back, bolted front of seat bracket in rear holes, then drilled new holes for rear of bracket.
