Default Blue Ox Attachment Tabs

Please reference the picture below of my Blue Ox Attachment Tabs.

At times I am having difficulty inserting or removing the (male) Attachment Tab(s) from the (female) base plate receiver.

The response from my inquiry to Blue Ox was to not use a petroleum based product which would have a tendency to create stickiness due to dirt/debris build up, but to use a silicone based product. Please share what product you would suggest for this. TIA

Timothy

I agree. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Blaster-1...4aAp4YEALw_wcB

I forgot to add that take like a bottle brush and some brake cleaner and give the receivers a good cleaning.

I have never taken mine out. Guess I’ll give it a try next time I go down to the shop.

I remove my Attachment Tabs whenever I am not using the Jeep as a Toad. I blame growing up in NYC/environment for my non-trusting nature rather than heredity. Knuckleheads abound. I would not want to find myself stranded and unable to tow.

I lube mine every once in awhile. I take mine out because my legs don’t like them.
