Question Failed touchpad on HWH jacks?

The PO of my coach said the jacks failed. Several years ago, one of the front jacks would not retract. Someone at the campground knew how to manually retract the offending jack and the PO never used the jacks again.

Here's what I have done and know so far:

Coach is parked on a level gravel pad.

I followed instructions for deploying the jacks. Dumped suspension. Touched Power. Touch pad lit up. I pushed Auto Level.

All 4 jacks extended to ground. It then went into what I call "Auto Level Mode". Jack motor runs briefly, I can feel jacks moving slightly. Suddenly, the left front jack extended fully, raising the left front of coach off the ground. Others jacks did not move. Excessive Slope light activates on touch pad.

I pushed Retract. Both rear jacks and right front jack retract fully. Left front jack retracts until coach is level on dumped suspension but jack pad is still touching the ground.

I thought jack may be stuck so I raise suspension and place 6x6 block under jack pad. Push Retract and dump suspension. Jack does not retract. Coach is now cattywampus.

I decided to try to retract jack manually. That's when I found another problem.

Both rear jacks and right front jack work correctly using manual buttons. However, the LEFT front buttons cause the RIGHT front jack to operate. Meaning, the LEFT front jack doesn't work on any buttons but the LEFT front AND RIGHT front buttons BOTH work the RIGHT front jack.

I finally used the manual T handle to retract the left front jack.

My thinking is the touch pad has failed.

The second question is, if the pad has failed, do I need the exact same pad or will any similar pads work? I noticed later model pads have the same functions but a different look.

I called HWH a month ago but have not gotten a response.

What sayeth the WOG?

TOM
