On the top of the Aquahot there is a cap and its labeled Tap for adding AF on the diagram.
That better not be Antifreeze as this is a water line!

I believe that is for if you winterize the unit.

Sorry I should have said a water pipe running accross the top of the Aquahot box. This line is clearly connected to the water line that runs from the drivers side of the water bay then to the switch area and then to the Aquahot.

Angry

That "Tap" should be on the cold water side? Yes/NO
If it is, It is definately plumped in to the side of the Aquahot with the RED out arrow.
The wrong side!!
I have never changed this, so its from someone else.
So should I swap them around?
If so why have I had hot water for the last 4 years?
This is blowing my mind, is should have never worked or should still work now!

Recently at a Rally, a member here had no hot water. The outside wash up station had no faucet, only a couple of valves and a spray hose with a trigger. Both the hot and cold supply valves were in the on position (connecting the cold and hot water at that location. Once we closed those two valves (thus removing the cross connection) the wife had a nice hot shower and everyone was happy.

Higher pressure cold water was feeding backwards thru the hot water system.
