Heater Core Fan Motor

I have a 1999 LXI with the Aquahot system and nine heater cores in the coach. One of the fan motors in the bedroom needs a physical spin to get started so I suspect the motor has a flat spot. Does anyone know who makes the fan, what voltage they are and where I can order one from. I suspect they are like a computer fan, but I just wanted to see if anyone knows the specs on them.

I'm going to say the convectors and fans came from aquahot.

There are actually two fan options on the Aquahot site, one being ELX-SFA-120 and the other being ELX-500-12B, so I just need to find out which one, if any, will work. They are both 12 volt, so just need to find out the measurements of the fan itself, with the housing. The ones on the LXI are about 4 3/4" by 4 3/4', so basically square. The depth of the fan should not be an issue. Probably going to call Aquahot and see if they can advise.

Here's an update on the fans. The heater cores are labeled as MCC Mobile Climate Control Model 12-490.1 12 volt heaters. The fans measure 4 3/4" X 4 3/4" outer edges. I looked at their website, but no help, as these are pretty old. I have placed an email into Aquahot to see if there fans might work, so I'll update this with what I find out. Mobile Climate Control does have a vast array of heater cores, so if you're ever looking for new ones, look them up.

I've been thinking about ways to decrease the Aqua Hot heater's fan noise.

I'm thinking that a high quality "silent" 120mm 12V computer fan might produce less noise and work just as well as the ELX-500-12B.

The ELX-500-12B is classified as a "Whisper, Silent" fan. I assume this is what we have in our coaches? I didn't find anything on the ELX-SFA-120 but it's most likely a 120V fan.

Would you happen to know the thickness of the ELX-500-12B Aqua Hot fans?

I wrote to Aquahot support yesterday, and a person got back to me very quick. The ELX-SFA-12V is too small for our cores, as it is 3 1/2" X 3 1/2". The ELX-500-12B is 4 11/16" X 4 11/16" and is 1" in depth, so it is not as tall as ours, as ours are about 1 1/2" tall I believe, but that should not be an issue. The overall measurements are right on for the ELX-500-12B so I'm going to order a couple of those. The -12B is not listed on their web site, so I'm going to call them and see if they can send them to me.
