Default HWH

Curt, just recently had the same issue. Worked on it for days and finally started from the ground from the engine to the frame and cleaned all connections all the way to the front of the motor home including the battery connections. I then removed the electric HWH motor on the hydraulic pump (found a thin layer of rust), which has an internal ground and cleaned the area where it is connected to the hydraulic tank. Then I connected a ground to the outside of the electric motor and attached that to the mainframe of the motor home. Cycled the system and it work as designed.

That was in May this year and it's been working as designed since. It's hard for me to say which ground was the culprit but one was.

I did not have that problem on my LX with the HWH pad. I spend 6 months in AZ every winter. The early and late months are very warm. That's my experiance but who knows, it could be causing your problem.

You may have already checked this, but I had a similar problem with my HWH once. I got to my rv site and when I went to level the pad came on but nothing happened. I grabbed my voltmeter and started checking stuff. I was getting power to all the wires but no power was at the studs on the motor that operates the heraldic pump. I removed the rusty nuts holding the wire to the rusty studs and cleaned everything up and presto. I have not had any issues since.

Thanks all for the replies. Our LX MLE has the hydraulic and the air leveling. I should have stated that it's the air leveling that works, then doesn't work. I wonder if the six MLE coaches got the dual system?

Curt,
Our LX ME dose not have the dual system, only hydraulic leveling.

How dose the air/hydraulic leveling work?

Curt,
Mine is nothing like that.
One time I had a issue with my leveling system and I called HWH. I gave them the model number of my HWH and he said to me you have a Foretravel and I said no. He then said you have air leveling and I said no hydraulic. I left him speechless.
