Default Good Sam $79.95

No need to be caught with out Road Side Assistance.
Even an easy tow could cost a minum $1000,
I am not a Good Sam salesman

Just what I have (for starters). Can't beat it for the money and it works with all the other vehicles as well.

When I joined the Good Sam Club many years ago I signed up as one of the first Charter Lifetime Members and even back then the GOOD SAM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE program wasn't this inexpensive. Personally I have never had an issue with Good Sam's program although I have heard that other WOG members have had some problems, but overall I personally believe that it is a good program.

The last time I used them to change a tire last year, Good Sam felt that they were not prompt enough in answering my phone call, which I was satisfied with, so they called me back after the tire was changed and informed me that when my road side Assistance membership was due for renewal, that they would issue me a free one year membership extension for it. I had planned on renewing it anyway, but this was a nice gesture on their part.

Camping World has a cheap deal to join Good Sam at a price that basically gives you a President's Club membership for free, we joined and will be switching our towing service over to Sam when current service expires.

Default Good Sam Road Service

Recently had a flat on our toad; GS was prompt and changed the tire - good service.
Would like some opinions on the GS extended maintenance insurance. Worth the $2k for a '03 M380?

Camping World and Good Sam have joined forces so you don't have to buy a Camping World membership anymore. Your Good Sam card will work there.

I also have Good Sam Roadside assistance and like that it works with all my vehicles.

On another note, when looking at Roof Vents and Covers etc just now I notice that www.adventurerv.net is kicking the heck out of Camping World on price point. So much for creating this really big club as far as volume purchasing power. CW and GS are kind of gimmicky on the retail side of things.

I don't believe you need to buy a membership for Adventurerv.net.

All my experinces with Good Sam have been a disaster. We paid the road angel they dispatched $938 to advise us we need a tow. GS refused to make any adjustment. Also tell GS that you have a BUS and advise them of the front axle setback. We have needed to be towed twice and both times the first wrecker they sent was unable to reach the axle. Camping World OWNS Good Sam.

We have CoachNet & have used once for a flat--they removed the tire, replaced the value and charged a total of $6.19.

To the best of my knowledge Good Sam and Camping World are now owned by the same parent company, that explains the relationship.

The only thing wrong with that statement is the implication that "now" means "not before now."

Certainly not new, and I think it is possible that they've never had separate owners. The parent company has had financial trouble for awhile now, and the GS/CW membership partnering appears to be part of a strategy to turn things around. Certainly not a bad thing, either way.

Exclamation GS vs FMCA roadside service

Have had GS and now have FMCA roadside service and both have been excellent. I pretty much believe they're one and the same. There is a glitch in their system though. It's $79.95 for a new member and $99.95 for renewal so switching back and forth can save you $20 every other year. But I don't cuz I'm too lazy!

Have been towed once, had road service 4 times over the last 10 years or so.
All have been positive experiences - - looking back!! Also used it on cars a couple/few times.
