Default Reviving paint

I am wanting to revive the exterior paint on our newly acquired bird. It looks a bit dry and faded. I know I want to have it polished but am wondering what else you guys have used with success to shine and brighten your birds.

Plus it will now be down here in the harsh Florida sun so I want it protected.

If its Imron, we've had good luck starting with 3M Finesse It II on boats painted with Imron. Follow that with whatever wax/sealant you like.

Basically you rub on it until it's shinny. If is pretty faded you might want to start with 3000 sand paper and then you go to a auto body polishing compound. The best thing probably is to have a body shop man/painter take a look. You almost can't take on the entire bus with out a buffer. The trick is to use the right materials based on individual needs. If you use something too agressive you can make the problem worse and if the paint needs agressive abrasives and you start off with too fine you will work forever and get little done. Have some one who works in the business look at your individual situation and give you some advice.

It's a lot of work and you want to work efficiently . Imron is hard paint and doesn't polish easily

Rustoleum has a standard color (I think it's Almond) that matches what's on the goat rails on those older FC color schemes. Several of us have slathered up the FC goat rails with Rustoleum from rattle cans.

Figured I'd start a thread on this to help others.

I purchased a product called Rejex that was recommended by several on the forum. I have only done a small door on the bird as a test, but I am amazed how well it worked and the ease of using it. You just wipe it on real good, let it haze then just wipe it off. It brought my dull paint back to brand new looking, just need the time to finish the rest. I am hoping to have some time over the holidays to do some more. Also it does not take much of this stuff to work. I am expecting that one 16oz bottle should do the entire bird. You can also use it on your aluminum wheels to keep them from tarnishing.

This is what I bought:
