Default I overheated my 8v92TA. What now?

I missed a small coolant leak and now it runs hot with any sort of load. Stays cool on flat land. I put a block tester on the radiator and I'm getting little but consistant bubbles. The fluid I have says it's for diesel (blue, from NAPA), but i'm skeptical and have diesel specific fluid coming monday. I didn't find the leak until after my road trip so I haven't driven it enough to see if it's burning coolant.

I've been a car mechanic for about 15 years so this heavy stuff is new to me. I've found some videos with the heads off, but nothing showing how to get to that point. They appear to be pretty straight forward to come off. Is this right? I have a manual I've downloaded and reading but any other info would be nice.

I don't think I've run it long enough or hot enough to cause major issues other than the head seals.

Oh and how heavy are the heads? 2 man lift?

Any input on details would be appreciated.

Your going to need a cherry picker.
I'm not saying you can't do it by hand, but putting the heads back on and keeping the o rings in place will be tough.

do an oil analysis--If there is coolant in the oil you will probably need and in-frame rebuild (bearings, cylinder sleeves, etc.

Default thankyou

10-4 on the cherry picker. I can't really use my engine hoist because of the location, but I do have the old ladder assembly in my back lot I can use.

and thankyou on the oil analysis. Good Idea. I'm pretty sure I don't have any in the oil, but cheap to check.

Default block tester

While cold, I drained a gallon of coolant. I put the block tester with the blue fluid on the radiator. Started the truck and there was a steady stream of bubbles into the block tester. Kinda like the bubble stream a fish tank air pump puts out. Shut the truck off and after about 5 seconds the bubbles went away.
