There's something a little odd about this bus. The front end has been reworked to look like an 87/88 PT. It could have had front end damage or a PO could have just liked that look.

I believe the bus is a silver addition built in 1987/88 rather then a 1985 as was originally suggested. Nice clean looking bus. I question the $25,000 spent in the interior if it needed that much something unusual must have been a foot. On the other hand a party who would spend that much on the interior would likely take care of the mechanics. Sight unseen in todays market 40 couple and subtract for tires and batteries unless proven not to need them. Nothing at all wrong with a 6v92. Any more and you are over driving the chassis IMHO. No question on hills a couple more horses would be nice but why are we doing this, if you're in a rush get a sports car and stay in motels.

John, I don't think any of the 87/88 40' PT's had the 6V. Also, in one of the pictures you can see the generator door has the side vents.

I stand corrected on that one. So the front end was changed and $25k on the interior. That doesn't condemn the thing but it raises questions

Phil If you are still looking for a bird check out www.birdconnection.com and take a look at coach #652 "Good Grief". If you like what you see contact me. It belongs to a friend of mine, You want a mechanically sound coach that needs NOTHING, That is it !

I'd like to offer another opinion. It is very possible the owner liked the "newer look" and upgraded his coach, not that it was in an accident. The one I'm buying falls into that category. Its also easily possible to spend $25K on the interior without there being a "major problem". Replace all appliances, replace flooring and walls, replace fabrics or couches/chairs, etc, it all adds up, and quick. Again, the coach I'm buying had extensive work done to it over the years, and while I didn't ask price, I know it was a lot. I think its potentially misleading to make statements that something must be 'wrong' or 'unusual' if that much was spent, or this and that was done, etc. Nothing is fact until its proven, so ask and find out the real story! The rest is pure conjecture, and nothing more than that. Main reason I'm saying any of this is that in reading some of the recent posts, its easy for a newbie to get scared off. Its too old, it could burn, you have to spend at least $10K after buying it to fix it, it sat too long, it wasn't used enough, etc. etc. Its nice to educate people, but there's a fine line between that and unnecessarily scaring people off. I at first almost didn't go after the Bird I'm buying because of comments right here on this forum, but then a few phone calls to Randy and I was at ease again.
