This is my list for our M380. I change coolant and fuel filters with each oil change. Oil gets changed in the Fall before the winter lay-up, regardless of miles travelled since the previous service. Be careful unscrewing the drain plug. I've heard of one case where the threaded plate in the crankcase separated. The pan had to be removed to fix it.

I was thankfully advised to install a Fernco valve to make future changes easier. I did and it is

Miss-spoke. Femco is the brand. See this prior thread for details and link to purchase.

Default Like Paul, I usually do both at same time

Sticker says 30 qts = about 10 gal. Besides Femco oil drain “kit”, also added metal roller oil/coolant pan for around $150 ordered off eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Gallon-O....m46890.l49292

It make oil/coolant changes easier. Plus one DIY change pays for both pan and coolant air lift fill tool mentioned below. Drain oil into pan, change filters, replace oil with new, then pump old oil into now empty bottles. Local auto supply stores take used oil for free. Pan also works well for coolant changes. See WOG coolant thread for details about another excellent $70 tool from HF called an Air Lift - post #177 here: https://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.c...=10182&page=18.

Once you have these tools, maintenance tasks are much easier on the pocketbook! Less messy too

Been on here talking about my leaky ISM oil plug. You guys got the plastic pans. Mine is steel. Wasn't sure till a few months ago. Planning on a big service in April or May. Think I will be ready with a Femco. I expect that bung is stripped or close. I get one more with a Femco I'll use thread locker and hope it seals a little.

There was more to my post but did not show, so here goes.

The Pan is a Plastic Composite prone to cracking, the Drain Plug is attached with a Nut on the inside and secured with metal tabs.
Overtighting the drain causes Nut to spin and extreme challenge to remove.

The other thing to look at is the Pan bolts, if they leak the Isolaters need to be changed for new, overtighting these also result in need fir a New Pan.

Cummins no longer has the composite Pan forsake, replacement is a Metal Pan along with associated parts, pickup, bolts, etc.

Good luck with your Lube Adventure!

Just make sure when you are done it is secure. An oil pan dump when on the road is not something you want to experience.:

No joke. I have seen a semi loose lose it's oil. Caused about 5 wrecks before the police showed up. I am planning on taking it to a local heavy equipment shop 20 mins north of here in April or May. Nice family owned place that like us (Motor coach types). I first got our Lx (when I bought it) out of the dealer after a ton of work, including all new brake cans. I drove it up I75 and found out I hardly had any stopping power. I was close to this place so I stopped by and they got to it the next day. They told me the new cans in the rear were not adjusted at all and way too long, so no pull on the S cams. Didn't even charge me after i told them the $$$ I put into it. Limped it back to the dealer and made them fix the brakes right. I like to give the mom & pop place some work. This mega dealer a half mile from me takes weeks, months to get things done and they have a 20 bay shop to boot. I'll make sure the drain bolt is snug and let them figure out what to do. I sure don't want a new pan.
