Default Air Conditioning Options

Just saw this video on YouTube going over various AC solutions. While some are pricy, they do have some interesting changes. Like variable speed compressors, ability to run off 12V DC directly, mini-splits, and even an AZ made cruise air system. Pretty cool stuff depending on your build.

RV AC On Solar! Mini Split Options For RVs

Quote:
RV Air Conditioning systems have been difficult to run long term while off grid. While many RVers would love to be able to run the AC off Solar there is usually a cost involved. I thought I would compile many of the solutions I found to run your RV Air Conditioning off solar. There are a few more ideas to add to the list but these are the main ones that are ready to work today. Some of these solutions allow you to run AC in your RV off battery power.

Recently installed 2 Atwood 15,000 heat pumps on our LXI. Just an opinion, but indications are that they are both quieter and more efficient than the Dometic Penguins. Atwood is now owned by Dometic so not sure of their future.
