Default M380 questions

I owned my M380 for almost a year. I had the oil & filter changed and some other service work done as soon as I got it home. Since then I've added about 6K to the clock and thought that I'd change the fluids again before the summer trip season gets started.

While doing those changes and installing a Fumoto F-104 valve today, I noticed that there threaded port on the bottom of what I believe is the bell housing. I'd never noticed the open port during my previous under vehicle inspections. Seems to me that this port should be plugged.

The Allison 3000 MH transmission owners manual describes a breather on top of the transmission torque converter housing. The Cummins ISL manual seems to show a similar bell housing but doesn't illustrate the port on the bottom side.

Does anybody know if this port should be fitted with a solid plug or a breather plug? I want to get it closed up before hitting road again. Is this a Cummins, Allison or some other manufacuter's part? Anyone know the part number?

While preparing to change the fuel filters, I noticed that I'm also missing a diagnostic port cover. This port is located on the side of the Power Distribution Enclosure adjacent to the battery disconnect switch. I want to replace this cover anyone know who the manufacturer might be or where to start searching for a cover?

Hi Dan,
My coach has the same open port on the bottom side of the bell housing…I was thinking like you that it should have something on there and was going to have an Allison tech take a look at it to see what he thought.

I will check the diagnostic port cover and see if there is a name on it.

Dan, here is a link to the dust cover you need for the diagnostic port.
