Ok ——wow I didn’t know Randy had that kind of enthusiasm potential.

I’m leaving this morning on a trip and will start a new thread when I get back. Should be about a week or 10 days.

Cliff hanger… I would like to see as well! Love a good fabrication project.

We had a guy here at work that used to make a lot of tools for us (electrical contractor). He made big reel stands for cable reels and trailers to haul conduit, big 6” conduit in 20’ lengths. He would see something in a magazine and tell the owner I can make that, and then he would weld it up. Good stuff, and we are still using it to this day. Those cable reel stands were serious, I put an 8000 pound reel of cable on them, no problem, pulling the cable on the other hand, that’s another story.

Just wanted to follow-up on this hitch project. I just finished a trip to Texas and back from Florida. A total of around 2600 miles with my fully loaded trailer, 10k at least, and I had no issues. The hitch did great, it really got a good workout on I-10, it tried to dislodge everything in the bus. Man that road is bad in some sections. But I tell you they have done some improvements are are working on several sections and they are much better than the last time I was through there about 4 years ago. Anyways I think I can call this a success and move on to other projects.

excellent, Jeff.

I don't think anyone around here was doubting it!

Appreciate the vote of confidence, I may not have been that confident.. that's also why I tend to overbuild something to make sure. I think this hitch is bird worthy construction.
