Default 80s tank monitor

Anyone have an old tank monitor they have removed that they are willing to part with?

Mine still works. Of all the things on that raggedy old bus that quit, this works. I power washed the innards of my tanks with a moveable wand tip. Not pleasant. Oh the treasure that came out of those tanks... It restored operation, tank sensors work!

I spy with my little eye some desoldering tape, so what gives? Board looks good in the photo, any idea what crapped out? I don't think that burn unit Dennis has will do any good, interior all ate up.

Ive changed a dozen resistors an amp and 1 of the 2 LED drivers the second one is here today sometime. But i dont think it will fix it I had one led not fire after changing the first led driver I have the half full leds lighting when they are not supposed to and the 3/4 full is still dead except on propane. I know people have junked these in favor of new boards. Contemplating building a test setup to fix some boards for people. Just thinking my board had a shorted section i bypassed so a better candidate wouldnt hurt. Desolder wick is my friend right now. Lol

Built a quick test station for the tank monitor I have determined I have two bad push buttons. Theres no manufacture number on those at all. I cant really take them apart either. Spraying cleaner in them didnt work so yea I need a old panel for parts

$25 to a donut says it was PMMI who went tango uniform some years ago. More than a decade. Now the fun is whom did they source them from? It's a slow journey sometimes, and we have to get creative .

Those PCBs would be easy to recreate with modern stuff for not a ton of money. All those PMMI boards suffer because they have zero solder mask on them. Any moisture eats them up quick. I think I have that board, I can look today. Maybe I can figure out whose pushbuttons those are.

Mine shorted somehow I had to solder a wire on the back. Also swapped some resistors, two new Led drivers the last thing was those switches. I shot some cleaner in them pushed them a million times blew them out now its fully functioning. Pull each sensor out of the water the corresponding light goes out. So thats a win. I just persisted. Still may want another board if you or someone else has one. Maybe ill go into the board repair business lol. That was the last of the electrical in the bus every single thing in the bus now works all of it!! Took some work. Now if it wasnt 107 outside I might get to pulling that trans out. Btw i think im just going to stick with rebuilding the trans its twice the money but it will be solid. Thanks for the offer on the board and trans

That's good news, sometimes that's all it takes, a little persistence and patience
