Default Visit from a BB owner.

Just had a really nice visit from a couple we have met here on the board. About noon today, Dick and Pat Gideon came through Eufaula on their way home and gave us a call. We had lunch and spent the afternoon visiting, and going over our coaches and talking bird. Dick gave me several BB tips, and showed me a lot of things we did not know about our coach. He also managed to get my dump valves unstuck, and we discovered that the generator air filter was clogged,, when the hose sucked shut while we were watching it.
Thanks Dick for your help and expertise.

Since it's already been flexed a time or two, you may need to do like David Bady did and fabricate an intake tube out of metal. Once it gets Oklahoma hot, those plastic tubes will probably close up on you.

I look forward to meeting you when Woody,,

Good idea John,, going to order the metal filter the guys are talking about. Hopfully it will be big enough this will never be a problem, but the hose is still a concern. Not sure what to use, maybe PVC.

Thanks Randy
Copper is a good idea,, I am in HVAC, but not that large. Have to tap one of my commercial friends for some scrap.

The gennie on our 96 does the exact same thing. The air intake hose between the air filter and the manifold seems to be some type of radiator hose, rubber-like material larger on one end than the other. There is no number on the hose at all. I took it to the NAPA shop and they just scratched their heads. I also took it to the local Kubota dealer (the 4 cylinder is a Kubota) and they also just scratched, said it was not a Kubota part.
I will try to post a pic of the hose when I can get to the gennie (rig in storage for the winter).
