Heres what happened.
David did a great job on the seal.
But unforeseen things happened.
It turns out that the opening that BB put in the body was not always the same size, coach to coach.
The Brady seal is thicker, and on several coachs the gap was too small and the Brady seal would not fit.

We never really talked about this because David left WOG and we didnt want it to sound like we were dissing David.

I have no idea how many were sokd, but i do know that Parliament tried to install one that they had to redo and they will only install HWH seals now.
I think George Morris and Coachcraft both had problems too.
I installed one and as far as i know its still working fine.

This is a long read. What is the current situation on slide seals? Available or not and of available from who? I don’t need one just planning for a future need. Thanks

Have you tried HWH? A couple of years ago I was looking to buy a LX single slide. The slide seal was bad and needed replaced. I contacted HWH and they told me that they had them and quoted me a price of $4k to replace it. At the time I believe that they were scheduling 3 - 4 weeks out. I ended up not purchasing that coach so.....Info may be worthless now

HWH- expect up to 3 weeks before someone calls you back. This is the frustration over multiple forums

the slide seal is just like a skinny tired bike tube, small but way longer.
they get old, just like a bike tube and they get grit, and sand and sometimes a screwhead will wear a hole in it.
I had one just blow out,10,000 feet up and i guess it liked sea level better.
years ago they were 3000 installed.
If your handy and have a good helper you can do it in a weekend.
We can coach you through the job.
I have done a few, with help once,by myself the other times.
I did one on the road once,at a friends house.
How handy a guy are you?
you need a philps screwdriver,a 3/4 socket and a long extension (3 feet) and a small hammer.
Not many tools involved.
