I've put the strikethrough in the toolbar (only on the full/advanced reply form), so you don't have to type the bracket-s parts. Give it a try. Select a word you want to strikethrough and then click the S icon.

I don't see why we need this feature unless it will let me use it to cover up some of the **** I come up with. If so it might be useful Nope it didn't work well **** So I don't need it! Well it does put my **** on a higher plane

I'm not able to do it either---OK---- I haven't even tried.
I just backspace over whatever I want to, well OK some of it
Sometimes I do let errors in spelling pass through along with lots of other useless info

Hopefully you, and the rest, understand that strikethrough is simply a form of emphasis, and goes along with the Bold, Italic, Underline, and font color features.

Wikipedia uses this example for usage:

"Fred Phelps is an idiot not particularly intelligent."

The other most common usage, although not common in forums, is when suggesting changes to another's writing - strikethrough parts that you are suggesting should be deleted.
