Only LP heat - - - - - - (suburban heaters)
Otherwise you should have electric heaters, chassis heat, and possibly heat strips in your air conditioners

You need LP if you want to heat with the Suburban furnance, you need 50 amp electric to heat with the electric heaters. If you have chassis heat your engine needs to be running and you need to be running down the highway for the engine to heat up enough.

Maybe the reason why you are not getting the propane furnances to fire up is that the ceiling air conditioners need to be turned off & the air conditioner switches near the driver's seat need to be turned on. Your thermonstats need to be calling for heat, and if you have a dash LP switch it needs to be turned on as well. I suggest you get in touch with the previous owner of this bird Mr Styf, he owned it for several years Jeff only owned it a few months and I don't think there is a big demand for heat in the LA area.

What does stuck on the side of the road have to do with no LP heat? Are you on the side of the road needing help??

Update. no longer on the side of the road, thank goodness for on call mechanics.

I was using my phone so sorry for the weirdness. Different using my phone on the forum.

yup, we were dead on the road......needing help with heat so we didn't freeze our booties off.

Just died. Engine wouldn't start back up.

Had the generator going.....couldn't figure out the heat.

So, learned....LP for heat, which our LP tank was bypassed, so we need little LP tank things to use the LP heat.....or our stove/oven

Our roof AC's don't do heat

Think first thing on our list is buy some space heaters to plug in!!

Tina, Do you mind explaining why you were stuck on the side of the road?? Your explaining what happened may in fact help someone from landing in the same situation.
