This can be a very emotional topic and some of you may want to get into a political discussion over this, but please remember our WOG guidelines.

Attachment 44908Yesterday was a day celebrating two occasions. I have participated in The Ride To Remember for a number of years in Elkhart, IN. It was organized by people to recognize fallen police officers. It happened to coincide with 9/11 this year. So this year the ride had a double meaning and maybe even double the attendance. I never heard an official number but I think there were somewhere around two thousand riders this year. In previous years we would all line up on the side street and there was room for everybody. This year the street was full and the parking lot was at least half full. The ride was escorted by police, clearing the way for us to all ride together and it was quite impressive to see us strung out for miles. People were sitting along the route waiving and flying the American Flag, with signs giving thanks. The ride was over 100 miles through a lot of little towns and a couple of bigger ones. Probably will be my last ride also. Seems all my friends that I have ridden with have given it up and I am the last holdout. So I have to consider if I shouldn't do the same. Squirt may miss it more than I doClick image for larger version

Anyway, it was a great ride celebrating the lives of a lot of good people that have been lost to us. We will always remember!

As an American Airlines pilot for the last 30 years, I can assure you that it's a personal subject for many of us. Hard to not be angry at people who would like to see your country and actually your very existence snuffed out. If you can watch the torture and beheadings of prisoners of war without being shaken to the core, then you are blissfully unaware or ignorant of the tenets of Jihad or Caliphate.

Don't ignore the warnings or become complacent just because it is not being shown on the National Media news outlets. Europe is being transformed before our eyes and the intent is to change America also.

Our FREEDOM is at stake. Do not be lulled into complacency by those among us who would like to placate the enemy because they aren't willing to take a stand and hold onto the principles this country was founded on.

Learn from history. Don't allow mistakes to be repeated. We won't get another chance if we fail this time.
