Thanks,
I talked to Tom over at Central Georgia Generator and he told me what AVR to get from their stock, I have a 12kw Powertech. Mine was the AS-440, but I would talk to Tom, he will know what you need, super helpful and super freindly, he gave a talk at our last WOG that was well recieved.

Most may already know this, but might be useful to others:

This AVC63-4 is a fine regulator for most of our 240V generators. However it may not exactly match the factory Powertech wiring configuration for some generators, such as the ones that use the VR63-4A. The primary difference is that while both use 240V to power the regulator, the AVC monitors 240V for regulation while the VR monitors 120V.

It's electrically trivial to convert to the AVC, but may involve diving a little deeper into the wiring at the gen head if not an identical replacement.

I may be incorrect, but it was my understanding from talking to Mallie and others on the board that this AVC64 was the direct replacement on our 15KW. That said, I have not looked at the schmatic myself, just bought a couple of replacements to keep in stock.

It very well could be the direct replacement. I just threw that out there because the thread just says "15kw Powertech" and my '91 used the VR63.

Mose thank you for your regulator post. That additional information will prompt me and others to more closely check what we have on our generators. I have not done the relocation yet and have it on the project list.
