Default Thinking of getting this aux air compressor

For backup. In case of low air pressure while low speed driving in town or traffic, i could just turn this on with a switch. I have a brake leak now, so i do have low pressure issues while driving slow or sitting in traffic. Plus i can use it to air up the tires.

I think if I had a brake air leak problem, THAT would be my top priority! YMMV Just my $.02 worth which is worth less than KC's $.02 ( No Meds)

I would get the leak fixed. That is a really expensive compressor for a backup. Sounds like you are getting a handle on the leaks, keep after them.

After running semis for years, have never felt the need for a backup compressor. Just trace down the leaks, and fix them. You do not have to get every one, just the larger ones. Most will have little leaks here and there.

Between the air bag, and the purge switch being "ON", you should have stopped two big leaks right there.

Chuck, I agree with Mike. Get the leak in the brake system repaired. Perhaps the water system find will help with the low air.

That is a bit much for a compressor. I installed a use Guest that I bought off E Bay. Think it was 2, 250 bucks. Rebuild kits are available and they are good units. Mike McGrauph made me buy it.
