Bruce Campbell replaced his wheel lips.
BB had a trick to make them fit the body,they had a table that clamped the ends of the rubber that attaches to the bus,they stretched that side of the rubber and then screwed a metal strip to that edge,when released from the clamp the rubber curled and would fit the bus better.
Front wheel wells are smaller than the rear wheel wells also.
Did you see the stainless lips i put on my 71?

Yes, I saw the stainless ones, firetruck supply I think? I like them. My rubber ones aren't awful but since I'm repainting.....
