Our SP originally had a Microphor toilet. We removed it and found the drain is horizontal at the back. My preference would be to replace it with a conventional gravity flush RV toilet. Looking at how the drain pipe connects to the black tank, I think there is room to mount a floor drain and reroute the pipe. It has about a foot or so to travel to get to the tank. Or should we just get something like a Thetford Tecma that would connect to what we have? Not really sure how to proceed looking for suggestions here.

The Tecma is a great toilet. The newer unit's are better as they do not use a lot of water.

My coach has about a 6' horizontal pipe from the toilet to the tanks used a thetford 320 toilet, no problems.

Can't tell for sure from pictures, but I assume that the bathroom is directly over the tank and that the line does a complete U turn. If so, I'd remove ALL those couplers and drop straight down. Should be plenty of vertical room for a closet bend and hopefully enough distance to the existing bend. You can split that existing sweep off the vertical pipe or can buy one of those bits that drills out the pipe from the horizontal part of that sweep.
If space is tight, also can try a closet 45 to 45 on the tank or combinations of 30s, etc.

I would put the drop toilet in or fix the electric microflor and only go to the Tecma as a last resort. My electric microflor worked great in my 88 after I rebuilt it. With my 95 I could have done as Randy did and ran an extension....I only needed to go about 18".....but would have had to go into the wheel well, and I didn't want to do that.
So I went with the Tecma. It works well but was expensive and uses ALOT of water.

![]() It's an air Microphor. If I can get the floor drain installed I'll go with the standard toilet.

You will be cutting through steel under the plywood flooring. It is doable if your black tank is under the restroom.
