Ben check that Blue Box for maintenance history for the last few years,
How long was it sitting? is there any recent trips??
Looks clean, updated mirrors, not a cheap item and shiny wheels are not cheap.
Expect tires and batteries and some unknown issues that the owner is probably not aware of, 1979, 3208 springers are good Birds less complicated. But it is still a Tank.
Check for fuel in the valley, coolant or oil under the bus.
Wheel seals leaking, these are not show stoppers, just things that need fixed may help with negotiating

Well I bought it. Drive home was great. Just a few questions.
1) where is the power steering reservoir?

2) can any recommend a new battery converter)

3) any have a t5 led direct replacement bulb for the lighting behind the upper storage bins. Or does the whole fixture need to be replaced?

Ben

Very Nice Ben.
She's a beauty!
I'm guessing late 78, but it doesn't matter. We had one of those too. Very simple bus and fairly easy to work on. We're currently working on a 79 33SB and we're happy to assist and could help you with that list. Just be sure you check the water system for leaks before you try to put water to the bus. That goes for filling the tank too. And turn the hot water heater breaker off until you know what you have.

Good luck!

Congrats Benny. I don't have answers for your questions, but there are a lot of buses your vintage with knowledgeable owners that do have the answers. Good luck and hope to see you on the road sometime.

Welcome BEN: The power steering res. is in the engine compartment on the wall at the rear. My lights under the overhead compartments were florescent, I put in glue on LED strip lights. I removed the fixtures and removed the old parts, installed the LED's and reconnected the 12-volt wires. Battery converter??

One option is a "Progressive Dynamics" 9200 series converter/charger:
