Hmmm...could be.
All the original, high grade speakers where still here, but dry-rotted and every single one of them had the wires cut. Who in their right mind would take each speaker down and cut the wires and reattach the speaker? Maybe he did this because he put in even fancier speakers with their own wires?
And thanks Rick, I will look above the passenger seat. I do remember seeing an amp up there. all the horn and speakers were all attached to the digitel system....which Tony carefully removed. He hasn't put in the new outdoor speakers yet cause he doesn't know where to attach the wires...yet.

Oh, lower dash...haven't looked there...yet. Did find a large dead nest of wasps behind that headlight when I was working on the faded paint the other day. didn't open the front panel though.

Inside! Remove the wooden lower panel in front of the passenger.

The bus is up on wood and we have a plan to get the generator bay pulled open...but it's going to take both of us to get it open and we can't seem to get our planets to align.
What was that part you suggested we change the air ram to, when we were at your place?

I see, said the blind man. I have never removed that panel. Hopefully it's still daylight when I get home from work and I will check it out ASAP! Thanks!

You were right Rick!
It is there with the blue flat wire still attached. Now at least we know it IS possible to get it working.
