Is it normal for the backup lights to be on IF you're in reverse gear but the engine is off, the key is NOT in the ignition, and the 12 volt power switch is OFF.
And since a radio has no memory if power to it is cut off, is this why the radio and backup lights share the same breaker ?

At purchase of the '75 many years after '75 there was a spot reserved for a radio, but no radio in it.
So I finally bought a radio that Best Buy installed but noted that it wouldn't remember stations, run a clock, etc etc unless power is supplied to it continuously, and connecting it with whatever wire Best Buy connected to it means it lacks power when the DC switch on the dash is turned off (to prevent "parasitic loads" I suppose), though I wouldn't mind a parasitic load by the radio's settings being remembered from one day to the next. The wiring diagram for this bus indicates the radio is supposed to connect to the same breaker as the backup lights, which, after a lackadaisical end of trip yesterday I discovered stay on if the vehicle is left in reverse, even if all power is turned off. That being the case I wonder if Best Buy connected it to a breaker other than the one the wiring diagram indicates is the way to go.
