Default Cadet Heater Thermostat

I am trying to find a thermostat for one of my cadet toe kick heaters. I can find the thermostat but none have an off position. My other cadets all have will turn off if you go to the end of the dial. These are stats that are internal. I don't think my wall thermostats operate the electric heaters. 88 PT38
Thanks

Thank randy: I don't know if that would work. It does have an off position but the mounting holes are different. I would have to look at the heater and see if it would retrofit. I have 3 others that work well and they do have an off position. I think I will remove one of the covers and get a part number. I called cadet but they were of no help. The heater has a model number of UC

On the M380, both electric Cadet Toe Kick Heaters are controlled by a single old-fashioned round dial mercury thermostat in the bathroom above the lav sink. Many have converted it and the Hurricane heater thermostat to digital models. These are much more accurate and there’s an on-off position on each thermostat. On mine, the cool selector is not used. Don’t recall the heater model, but I replaced one and ordered it online from Home Depot. It was an exact model replacement and not that expensive.

Bruce,

This is the thread for the Fasco toe heaters, using the copper bulb capillary
system to trip a micro switch, They work OK, but the temp swing differential is not ideal.

Van, where do those get power from? Those new ones need a power source to run the electronics. The old ones did not. Do they just run on batteries?

As far as doing that upgrade on Bruce's I think he would need to run wires to the thermostat location and add a 12v/110v relay.
