Are those Humphrey valves screwed into that manifold? Is that manifold made of steel? If so, I'd be concerned about galvanic corrosion, which can cause the aluminum unit to get basically dissolved where it contacts the steel, causing, well, leaks.

Point well taken but I will say that there was absolutely no sign of corrosion on the two that I replaced - they appeared to have cracked from being tightened too much (thin aluminum ports) when they were installed at the factory. The pipe dope most likely helped prevent corrosion.
