Default What a loss

I just logged on and to get this news. I can't add much to what has been said accept to tell you all that I too am saddened to hear this. It's a path we all will take. I know he was central to the WOG community and a big part of the forum "management"

John was one of the first members of the wog community I met when Ethel and I first ventured to Maxton SC with Shane back in 2007 (in think). We were introduced to John and Rob and Randy and so many others. You folks have be so kind and generous with your time and energies and I remember John and his trusty dog Buddy. Buddy was about 13 years old and the nicest dog you could ever ask for. It's some small comfort thinking that John and Buddy are re-united.

Randy I'm sorry for your loss. It's part of "growing up" thanks for telling us and thanks for being his friend. I know that John did a lot for the WOG family but I also know that many of you also did a lot for John. May we meet again

Roberta and I are also saddened by this news. John was a friend. We shared many a evening meal at one of John's favorite places, Waffle House. Every Rally John want to know when we were scheduled for the Meal. At first I worried about his blood sugar but John knew how to have his Waffle and control his sugar level. There was one stay at Tunica where John wanted Waffle house three nights in a row. I'm now glad we let him have his way.

John moderated me only one time and that was all it took. He was tough when need be.

We all will miss John and will feel his absence from this part of his world.

I talked to him on the phone every so often. We talked about life, VA stuff and FC stuff. Our last conversation was 8 days ago while he folded laundry.

I'm completely bummed out.

This repair was when John had a flat tire and it caught on fire,he was about 350 miles from my place where Bill Pape and Mark were hanging out.
John needed a few tires and an airbag.
Bill and Mark jumped in my truck,we loaded up 4 new tires (that were promised to someone else) and drove them to John, then drove back to my place.
A long day for those guys, but what the heck,John needed help and the WOG
made it happen.

And we were glad to do it,thats what we do..

Loved Mr. Finn. So glad I had the opportunity to meet and spend some time chatting with him before the Lord took him home. He made the world (especially WOG) a better place. I know that he bravely battled some health issues for a long time. As I was reading of his passing, the following Bible verse came to mind when remembering him.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race. I have kept the faith”.
2 Timothy 4:7. R.I.P. Mr. Finn
