Years ago we had a thread on re-powering an FC.
I said it then, that the thing to do is make it a pusher, put the engine in the back, put the fuel tank in the front.
I still think it would be fun to do that conversion (lots of work).
What they did looks good in the pics, except for that funky Butt on the back.
The inside looks good, the dog house has a TV on the floor in front of it,but its not a cobbed up mess that you might expect!

At least i think its this coach.
He told me he had a pusher 1973 with a DT466 and a 5 speed trans,he needs to sell it.
I told him to put it on WOG,he wanted a quick sale and thought i may buy it.
I'm too far away from it to buy it!

Lucky you

Wow. It's not a project that I would ever take on myself, but I've got to give the guy his credit. He put a LOT of work into it!

The back of the coach looks ugly as helll, but I really admire the guy's ingenuity!

I'm sorry Joe but I bet that the salesman's lips were moving when he told you that tale about a cooling issue? I have a 3208 turbo and it cools just fine. I would say it looks to be an adventurious project but would you truely want to buy someone else's trial & error. Especially one which has been sitting for what appears to be years. There have been a few adventurious projects, like the 6V71 in an older FC and the repowered SP but they had alot of input from folks here on the forum and are still running strong today. I would have to pass on this one, just my 2 cents. Good luck in your search.

Did Shane ever own this coach ??

I was just wondering because that unit on the back could be a mobile brisket smoker....

The thing on the back looks like an old Thermo-king unit you sure that there is not duct running across the roof?

Or did they move the radiator to the rear. Instead of adding a snout to the Bird?

It's a radiator and air intake for the engine.

The left 'snorkel' is the air intake, and the right is the intake for the radiator. They're both 'ram air' intakes.

Coach has 25,000 miles, sleeps 8. Was 318,417 new, sale price is $19,000"

Yep, Doghouse modified, shift lever to the right of the driver, There was a ton of mod work to replace that gasser. I think the new price is a little embellished. maybe lots of storage behind the grill?????
Thanks, guys...I had my doubts. Great wealth of info. here for certain. We're in the market for a 35-41 that will sleep 8. Please keep your collective eyes peeled for us. Thanks!
