Curt, the reset cb/fuse next to the three bosch could be muffed. with heat they start to react at lower amp draws. but after cool down they auto reconnect so it become a real intermittent problem. I agree it looks like some one has been in that box. the center Bosch looks replaced, which could be another clue or just a part thrown at it to try.

I would just throw a new cb/fuse in place of the self resetting cb/fuse probably no need to drill and mount it to pop to the outside but wont hurt to make it more secure. cant find one with the two screw posts.

one of two things the cb/fuse is muffed or it is doing its job and shutting down. you cant tell if a self reset was activated unless you test when an intermittent problem creeps up

Powertech Gen Update, 2000 LX, three-cylinder Isuzu, Auto Start.
Same Issue – Starting - sometimes right away, somewhere in the 1st cycle, 2nd, third, or no start.

More Testing
1) Found a wire broken at gen plug, maybe THE WHITE WIRE that has been mentioned before.
Repaired – Wired around the plug. See photo #1, #2. See the WHITE WIRE.

2) Intermittent glow plug heating. Found glow plug hot wire not pushing all the way at the third relay in the control box, third relay towards the road side. See photo #3.
Repaired - Now glow plugs work consistently. They heat, generator starts first time, every time…so far. Time will tell.
This generator system vibrates badly and causes everything in the box to come loose, separate, etc. Need to think about easing the vibration, another project.

Thanks Randy. Went out and fired up the gen. The gen runs smooth. It's the control box on top that's vibrating. The rubber mounts are solid when poking with a screwdriver, need to be replaced, and I believe most of the vibration will go away. Or it could be the bolts holding down the box have come loose. I'll do some more checking later.

Thanks Lucas. I'll keep them in mind. Won't get to smoothing out the vibration project until December 2nd week or later.
