Pull your pick up along side and jump that thing off. I have little Patience but I do have a large battery charger.

My batteries are dead. I have a 6v 4 amp charger and it takes a while to charge them, usually over night. I am not plugged in because I do not have a 50 or 30 amp plug yet.
I do have the fuel to the injectors now, I just need the batteries to charge or figure out how to jump start it. I have not been able to find the evasive brass lugs for jump starting the bb that I have read about. I have had two others look for them as well and we are stumped. My understanding is that some models have them and some don't. After buying 4 new batteries I am reluctant to start trying different ways to jump it because I don't need to sink another $400 into batteries. If there is another way to jump it please point me to the thread. Seems like I should be able to connect to the positive on one battery and the negative on the other. I am not familar with 6v batteries but in my simplistic way of thinking it is just a two part 12v battery with a bunch of amps.

If your system is wired correctly you have a 12 volt system. Find the positive to the coach and the negative to the coach. Hook your jumper cables to those points.
A 4 AMP charger will have a very difficult time charging one battery let a lone 4 overnight.

Thanks Rick, that is what I deduced.
What should I look for amperage-wise in a new charger? Can I use a 12v charger by charging both batteries at the same time? I have a much larger 12 v charger.

Back a few years ago I thought I need a new charger for the FC. We were on the road at the time. Stop at Wal Mart and bought a inexpensive Schaffer. Think it will do up to 40 amps or so. You don't have to spend a fortune on a charger for occasional use. I do have a Snap On charger at home with a 100 AMP start circuit.

I would recommend a three stage charger that has different settings for flooded, AGM and Gell batteries. I bought a Schumacher some years back that does all the above and will charge at 25 amps. I think you can still get one for about $50. That would be IMHO the minimum that you would want. Just my opinion. Even at 25 amps it can take a while.

you have a 6 volt charger?
That means you have to charge every battery by itself. You have a 12volt system. You need at least a 45 amp charger when you go camping,Birds are power hogs. A 4 amp charger will not even keep my electric gates battery charged!

Thanks Brad, is that a 12v or 6v charger?

Ok Randy, I get it now. Is that a 12v or 6 v charger? It may seem silly but this 6 v battery thing has thrown me for a loop. I am getting that I can treat it like a 12v battery if I do two at a time. Is that correct?
