The cold is fine, I just don't like wearing real shoes and stuff when it snows.

Oh and don't let anyone near your bus Pat! I remember when I picked mine up, driving it home for the first time, not for the faint of heart! Now I race around and slide the dogs all over the floor and stuff, but it took a while. No way I would trust anyone else with it, I can't being myself to showing my wife how to drive it and she's a good driver.

Default Rental

Hi,
Suggest you only rent it as non moveable if you do it.
Only person driving it is you.
You would only want to do this on property you own.
You could position it where the renter wanted it, have them rent the spot it sits on, like a campground or parked in front of their home for company/relatives.
Good luck!

On a search I came across 2 websites that cater to owner rentals.
RVshare and Outdoorsy
I do NOT endorse any of them nor do I have personal experience with them.
I could not sleep at night knowing someone else is driving my RV ...

I think if you rent your coach it would be the same as giving the renter your debit card.

Bad. Bad. Bad idea.

3 things a man never asks to borrow and that's another mans wife, his BB, or his Harley. Not necessarily in that order.

When I framed houses, if someone asked to use your hammer you would say, that is like wearing another man's underwear.

I am familiar with both of these websites and have used them extensively. As others have stated, your insurance company will dump you if they find out that you are renting. There are some exceptions, but it is heavily dependent on the state you are insured in. I see so many horror stories of RVs being returned smashed up and people trying to pull one over on their owners...many owners rent them "in place," meaning the renter never moves the unit, just shows up and rents it in place. Other things to think about are cleaning fees, damage deposit, dumping fees, etc etc. It sounds like you're trying to help out an interested party to test the waters by using your unit, but it may be far more hassle than it's worth. Whatever you decide, best of luck. If you DO decide to rent, there are great facebook groups I can direct you to for outdoorsy/rvshare owners that will have tips and tricks, whether you decide to rent through them or not.

I for one am very reluctant loaning/renting out my power tools, chain saw etc. My thoughts are if the borrower can't afford to buy their own, they can't afford to replace/repair an item once it's broke. It would be the same for a bird.
