Default Finding an air line for Horton Fan Clutch Conversion

Hello,

I am converting from a Facet electric fan clutch to a Horton air clutch. I am trying to determine the best way to plumb air to the clutch. I opened up the dash and found a line that goes to the steering wheel air tilt control which looks promising. It appears to be 1/4 inch OD J844 tubing.

I was able to find this tubing on Amazon, but I'm not sure of the best way to tap into this line. I am looking for a 3 way manifold and then any necessary connectors.

Does anyone know the correct type of connector to use for this and a good source? It seems like some sort of compression fittings are installed on the line now.

Just use a "T". Any NAPA or Fleet Pride will have the part. No need to go overboard with a manifold.

the fittings will be push to make connections. The counter man will be able to show you how they work. Easy.

There's a good source under the drivers position behind the bumper just forward of the steering box.

Thanks, I just looked under there and there is a manifold right behind the bumper forward from the steering box. One of the ports is not used and is capped off. This looks like the best place to pick up air for the clutch.

The manifold you've identified is where Blue Bird tapped in for the factory Horton fan. The solenoid is mounted very close on the frame rail.
