Default Jacks

Our front passenger side jack stopped wanting to kick down on deployment. Since I have not had a problem with the system since we bought the coach, I figured maybe it was time to let my RV guy have a look at the system for the repair and general service, they are a HWH house. Evidently, the actuator on the kick down style jack is tested by pulling the deploy piston with your fingers, should be easily movable. The passenger side jack and the two rears are hanging up to varying degrees. The current fix is to replace the original "block" with a tube that has a built in check valve, $106 not installed. I figure I'll do all four and be done with it.

Default kick down actuator

I did this on my back two jacks last year-replaced the little actuators and the tubes. Got the parts directly from HWH. 4 acutators, tubes, springs, and mount bolts/bushings ran about $800. Hardest part was getting all the jack mounting bolts out without stripping them. The new style tubes needed a little bending to fit right, but otherwise worked well.

If you need it, the part#'s for my 81' with the 9K jacks are:
R1171 spring kit
R1280 pivot bolt kit
R2956 stop kit
RAP0547 actuator assy
RAP90080 tube assy

4 ea for all the above

Regards

Thanks Brian, I like the thought of replacing the mounting bolts and bushings as some of my bushings jumped off this ride a while back.
