Default Nice 1982 in Los Angeles. Spiffy interior update. $15K.

Caught this on a craigslist aggregator.

No question it's worth a look. See pix of solid oak woodwork.

Worth more than a look, I'd say. That looks clean in and out. Yes, I know others have looked good and found not to be, but, this could be a real gem!

Right length, right color, right price. Looks clean. I have sent off for more info.

Thanks for pointing it out.

I'm talking to the owner, Levi. Esmi, why don't you go look at it and I'll back off. If you like it, buy it. If you don't, I'll jump back in. I have additional information and pictures. It really sounds nice, but I'd really like for someone to look at it first.

Does the kitchen cabinetry look SOB-ish to anyone?

The others kitchens I see in photos have a counter with a drip edge that continues down the front face of the cabs for 4-6 inches. The other kitchens I have seen have substantial drawer hardware (drawer pulls and latches) that seem to be conspicuously missing here.

Seller says he just brought out from KY, and that it had new tires before the trip. Seller says it was "professionally redone" before he bought it, whatever that means. I have not talked with him yet, but he sent me a brief email.

Definitely worth going to see, but not so much so that I am gonna miss work and my kid's riding practice to get there tomorrow.

EDIT: In re: Stick's post: Thank you for the kind sentiment, but please don't count on me to do anything other than waffle. I recommend you pursue it as you are interested, and I will do the same. I would hate for you to miss out on the deal of the week because I can't get my priorities sorted out. Thanks again.

Definitely a good looking coach in these small pictures.
Seems to have had some major re arranging of the floor plan. At least one window appears to have been removed and a major relocation of the head. My biggest concern would be the holding tank plumbing with the head relocated. Not much room to move tanks on a 31' so hard to get a straight drop from toilet into black tank. Sure don't want any long, near flat runs on toilet drain.
On the other hand, these are largely custom coaches so maybe it was a complete non standard floorplan from the factory. Have to see it to be sure.

Anybody in the LA area that would like to look at this thing? I think there is enough curiosity to warrant a cursory glance. I've asked the owner for some comments on the interior changes.

I'll edit this post rather than replying to myself. It reminds me too much of talking to myself. Levi responded to me that the coach was "gutted and completely redone by professionals." Dash, driver and passenger area is original as is the outside. In his own words, "not for someone looking for the original."

IMHO, Looks like someone did a really nice job to me and for those not interested in pure originality it is probably a great buy.

It looks like the remodel is a quality job from the pics. If it is in good shape mechanically, hopefully with records, it seems like a great coach. You don’t see many 31 foot coaches come on the market. I like the size; if I were in the market for a coach like this I would be on my way for an inspection…good price too!

Is the 82 FC a 210hp or 250hp?

The VB site indicates it's a 210hp.
