I use my left arm out the window. Straight out, left turn. Arm bent up at elbow, right turn At least, that's what my driving instructor said to do

Default Making Turn Signals Louder

I also could not remember to always turn of the signal. I looked into adding a beeper and found these parts on eBay "Small Size Round 12VDC buzzer"
I soldered them right across the back of the terminals on the directional lights. Problem solved.
I know I need to vacuum the dust on the panel.
