Default Water fill on 84.5 pt 36

SHE needs a shower and since I tend to return from a trip as light as possible, there is very little fresh water. Went out back to fill the tank and I don't think the on-off toggle is working. I can hear no click and I can feel no perceptible change in the hose. Appears to be no flow. I have the fill toggle set to on and everything is hooked up as per usual.

I have easy access to that toggle. Any point in removing it, jumping the wires to see if it opens? Is this 12v. I suspect it is, although the bus is plugged into 110v

At our house we've been without electricity since Monday.

It's 12 volt. Do you have your transfer switch to SHORE. I've neglected to do that and inadvertently duscharged the batteries. Check to see that you have 12 volts. Also the valve will some times not open without water pressure. Turn the toggle off THEN turn on the hose (water) to get pressure THEN toggle to on. If this doesn't do it it may be the sporlin valve itself

I'll bet since you have been without electricity you have dead batteries. Start the generator and recharge bet this fixes it

Thanks, John. Batteries are strong. I keep it plugged in all the time I drove it here (home) yesterday after the hurricane had passed. If it is an easy fix, I'd credit the water pressure. This is an old house and the spigot is a long way from the bus. Lots of leaky connections. I can take it somewhere else and try for more pressure, but wouldn't the street water work in that instance? Pump seems to be working fine when I switch it on.

Stick,
With the shore water hose turned on and the fill switch off, Turn the pump on and wait for it to build pressure and stop. Then flip the fill switch to fill (on). If the Sporlan valve opens the pump will begin to run and it will continue to run until you turn the fill switch off.

If the pump does not run, the Sporlan is not opening.

Can you just use city water to take a shower and then turn it off when you are done.

Not sure if this will help, I had my back flow preventer come apart and it wasn't allowing me to fill. It just blocked the flow, took it apart and replaced with a more robust house version.

That's what was puzzling me. Water didn't flow on either setting. Called George Morris and he thinks there's a blockage either at the point of entry or in the filter under the bed. Sure enough I let it run on the on position for a couple of hours, took a nap, and the cussed thing (tank) is about 2/3 full. I'll pull the bed out tomorrow.

I think Kiki nailed this one. Get rid of that pressure regulator at the fill point. Nothing but trouble
Start at the hose connection and move in. I'll bet you don't go far.
